This past Friday Fountain Inn made a big mark on the map when it held it’s first Relay For Life Enhancer. It was a quick decision to put the event together and in just a couple of months the merchants in town worked together to create teams, talk up the event, and reach out into the community for participation.
The result was a huge crowd walking Main Street of this no longer sleepy little town.
People of all ages engulfed Fountain Inn to support the survivors and to give tribute to those we lost over the years.
Even four year old Danielle, who’s Dad is a local Main Street merchant at SC Wholesale Mattress and Furniture took an active role. Danielle pushed her “Pink Monkey” in a stroller around the track and also shared cookies and drinks with the walkers.
Kudos to Fountain Inn and all those who participated. It was exciting and emotional night for all who took part.
Total raised for the American Cancer Society was over $20,000.
Keep your eye on Fountain Inn – quickly becoming the
“Inn Place To Be”.
